Accounts Officer Inventory

Job Description:
Financial Control:
  • Assist the Process Owner in ensuring compliance with the I2C process and promptly address identified gaps by developing or modifying test scripts to mitigate emerging risks and enhance control effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely implementation of internal and external audit recommendations, and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Oversee all costing procedures related to inventory, including determining month-end production usage variances with the operations team and finalizing related month-end closure procedures, as well as analyzing and posting stock count variances.
  • Manage SAP changes for new product launches or changes in existing SKUs, including running cost estimates.
  • Maintain accounting/costing views of Material Master data.
Financial Reporting:
  • Coordinate monthly stock count activities.
  • Reconcile OPM sub ledger, close OPM periods, and open new periods in the system.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing and Hyperion reporting, conducting variance analysis and preparing closing decks.
  • Prepare schedules for the monthly Brand Profit & Loss account.
  • Process Agro Transportation payments.
  • Support APRI in providing timely and accurate Brand P&L reports to the Financial Controller on a monthly basis, and to the CFO and GM on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure the factory trial balance accurately reflects the financial position of Inventory and assets insurance.
  • Provide accurate and timely monthly provisions of raw material, packing material, finished goods, and Agro based on forward aging to cover potential inventory risks.
  • Prepare monthly manufacturing accounts to allocate MOH to relevant brands for accurate inventory valuations.
  • Conduct monthly stock valuation and finished goods reconciliation.
  • Support internal controls by conducting quarterly key control testing of FR & I2C processes.
  • Support supply chain in the destruction of expired stock, raw material, packing material, finished goods, and Potato/seed, and coordinate with 3rd party auditors.
Planning & Budgetary Control:
  • Provide analytical support to Financial Analysts with accurate variance analysis, productivity measures, and other agreed-upon KPIs.
  • Support RIM in efficient management of factory working capital by providing accurate data points on stocks.
  • Prepare monthly BSR schedule for reporting to the region and comment on major variances.
  • Prepare One Offs monthly to highlight any inventory at risk based on forecast and consumption run rates.
  • Prepare item-wise templates for material-wise actual cost on a monthly basis.
  • Analyze process gain/loss breakdown and share with Process Manager and Senior Ops Manager.

Effective Utilization of SAP:

  • Support Financial Analysts in Brand P&L data to improve efficiency and accuracy in reviews, enhancing the business’s ability to improve SDV to meet NOPBT.
  • Identify automation opportunities at the plant and build an efficient and effective control environment.
  • Identify analytical reports in SAP to facilitate timely decision-making.

Non-Financial Reporting – KPIs:

  • Support Financial Analysts by providing accurate and timely reports/decks, enabling them to make corrective and preventive decisions regarding business operations.
  • Coordinate with all functions (production, quality, HSE, HR, and engineering) to obtain information and validate it from source documents.
  • Manage weekly petty cash reimbursement and tracking for admin, including supervision of month-end counting and reconciliation with the general ledger.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Commerce Graduate, ACCA/ ICAEW/ MBA/ ACMA Finalist/ CA Finalist.
  • Solid technical/functional knowledge in Finance and Accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance/Accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Business partnering mindset to work effectively with cross-functions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to focus on priorities, details, and work under pressure.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Process Operator (PO)

Job Description

The role entails operating, controlling, and maintaining processing equipment to transform raw materials into the final product, aligning with predefined performance indicators (KPIs). Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and control process equipment to convert raw materials into the final product.
  • Collect relevant data and provide accurate reports on all activities (including system operating results for quality, frying, flavoring, raw material usage, and downtime) to promptly identify and address issues.
  • Identify areas of waste and inefficiency in the production process and propose timely solutions to reduce and rectify them.
  • Uphold housekeeping, quality, and food safety standards to ensure compliance with AIB, FSSC 22000, 5S, and CRP regulations.
  • Preserve equipment health and ensure timely replacement of all worn parts according to a predetermined maintenance schedule with support from the engineering team.
  • Maintain adherence to safety procedures in line with the Pepsico safety policy at Multan.
  • Ensure daily implementation and quarterly compliance with IPS systems for PC & NPC lines.
  • Coordinate closely with shift FLM on planned changeovers and boil outs to meet production plan compliance.
  • Support shift FLM in achieving AOP targets for material and asset efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE rules and procedures as per Pepsico safety policy.

Qualifications/Requirements: Experience Required:

  • Minimum of three (03) years’ experience in a manufacturing processing environment, with a possibility of waiving this requirement with a tertiary background.

Key Skills:

  • Engineering, diploma, or degree (preferably in Mechanical/Electronics).
  • Mechanical aptitude with technical training and knowledge of all manufacturing equipment in the processing area.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a working knowledge of all control systems, including PLCs.
  • Proficient in literacy, numeracy, and using panel view computer screens.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols.
